It has been a pleasure to have spent the last 4 weeks working with S6 pupils from Forrester High School as they begin to make plans for leaving school.
We worked with three groups of sixth year pupils to support them in their post-school plans. We covered lots of practical skills such as how to complete a good application form, how to prepare a personal statement and how to prepare for an interview. We even had some fun practising our interviewing skills! We also spent a bit of time looking in more detail at the various careers options that interested this year’s group. Their interests and plans for the future varied a great deal and included veterinary medicine, accountancy, mechanics, the merchant navy and humanitarian aid work.
We wish this year’s group of sixth year pupils every success for the future.
