Forrester High School pupil Billie Meldrum was the second recipient of Wester Hailes Youth Agency’s Personal Achievement Award at the recent Forrester High School Awards Ceremony.
Billie won this award for her enthusiasm, motivation and dedication throughout her time at high school.
Billie began working with staff from the Youth Agency in October 2007 as part of a group work programme. During her time in this group Billie built positive relationships with both staff and peers and was extremely supportive and understanding towards others. Her kind and caring nature enabled her to empathise with others and this is something that has continued through her time in school.
The Youth Agency has continued to work with Billie throughout her time at Forrester High School. Most recently we have had the pleasure of working with her as part of the S6 sexual health programme. Billie’s confidence and self esteem have continued to develop, allowing her to overcome challenges and work towards her chosen goals.
Billie’s plans now are to leave school and study Business Management at university.
It has been pleasure to work with Billie during her time at school and to watch her grow into the considerate and thoughtful young woman she has become. Well done Billie and good luck for the future!
