The Youth Agency launched a new cooking programme this week thanks to a grant from Community Food and Health (Scotland).
All of our age groups will be involved in learning about, preparing and cooking food. We aim to work with the young people to come up with a varied, fun and healthy set of recipes to explore each month. This week we started with pitta pizzas – a quick, easy and tasty recipe universally loved by the young people. Lots of healthy toppings were available and much debate ensued about the best combinations. Pineapple anyone…..?
All young people were involved in the preparation, from chopping, assembling and cooking the pizzas and, of course, everyone was also involved in the eating!
