We wanted to make sure to get the new year off to a fantastic start at the Youth Agency and have had a super-busy and super-fun month.
We’ve been doing plenty of cooking (and plenty of eating) and made some hearty meals including big pots of soup and toasties. We also had haggis to celebrate Burns Day. A first for some of our young people and, it’s fair to say, it was a mixed reaction from staff and young people alike!
To mark Chinese New Year we learned some Chinese characters, made cute little origami bunnies (it’s the year of the rabbit) and cooked up a Chinese feast with vegetable fried rice, spring rolls, stir fry and prawn crackers. Super tasty with no left overs in sight!
It’s wonderful to see our clubs so busy and all of the young people enjoying themselves. We’ve got lots of baking, making and other fun activities planned and we can’t wait!
