Wednesday 13 March was National No Smoking Day.
As proud members of ASH Scotland’s Charter for a Smoke Free Generation the Youth Agency were happy to support this important day and to promote healthy, smoke-free lifestyles among our staff, volunteers, young people and their families.
For young people, vaping can be a significant issue with many young people who have previously not smoked taking up the habit. National No Smoking Day is an opportunity to highlight the harmful affects of tobacco-based products like cigarettes and vapes and can often be the motivation needed to kick-start a healthier lifestyle.
Our Pyramid drop-in groups and health drop-ins focused on activities highlighting the harmful effects of smoking and vaping, answered questions from young people and provided more on support for smoking cessation.
