It’s been a busy few months at the Pyramid. Autumn has well and truly progressed with shorter, colder days but that hasn’t stopped the fun happening – both inside and outside – at the Pyramid.
Young people took on the staff in a Beat the Staff Challenge which saw staff pitted against young people in various challenges including jalapeno eating (ouch!), obstacle course, wall sit and sorting skittles. Our determined staff put up a good fight but young people came out on top, beating staff. We’d like to say it was a close run thing but we’re not really sure it was!
We also had great fun in a Halloween-themed silent disco with some truly insipred shape throwing from staff and young people alike and celebrated firework night with some fabulous glow stick fun.
Last week was anti-bullying week and the theme for this year was one kind word. Our lovely, kind young people thought about what they wanted to say to people who meant something to them and what they could say to help strangers and wrote and drew lots of kind and insipiring messages.
Finally, it’s never to early here at the Youth Agency to start thinking about Christmas. There’s more to come but we’ve started our celebration with a super festive Christmas quiz. All of the young people took away a prize of course – an advent calendar to count down to the big day. Let’s hope they can wait to get stuck in!
