Although the summer sun has belatedly come out to play, young people are firmly settled back in to school for the new school year.
Before we turn our attention to autumn activities and cosy hat, gloves and scarves, we thought it may be nice to reflect on the fun we had over summer.
Although the weather did not exactly play ball, rain definitely did not stop play. We had to adapt some of our activities and messy fun moved indoors. Although it was undoubtedly fun, it maybe wasn’t quite as messy as we would have liked.
We welcomed our friends from the Science Festival and young people had an awesome time building – and launching – rockets.
We also had a great time with the circus. The unicycle proved pretty impossible for most of us to master in just one night but the stilts were massive hit. We managed to hold on to young people (not to mention some of our staff) who seemed pretty keen to run off and join the circus by the end of the session.
