Supporting A Tobacco Free Generation

Posted on 1st May 2018 Leave a Comment

Wester Hailes Youth Agency have recently signed up to ASH Scotland’s Charter for a Tobacco Free Generation.  We are delighted to be on board and supporting this worthwhile cause which aims to protect children and young people from the harmful effects of smoking and second hand smoke.

We are committed to taking practical steps to support the Charter.  The Youth Agency’s premises are smoke free and we now have prominent signs informing all staff and visitors of this.  In addition, all staff and volunteers will be undertaking training on tobacco awareness and smoking cessation and we are increasing our resources for young people who access our services.

More information on Scotland’s Charter for a Tobacco Free Generation can be found at www.ash.scotland.org.uk/charter.
